PLANNING YOUR BANFF NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT!

Yay!! You’ve decided to ditch the traditional ways and do exactly what means the most to you as a couple! Congrats on planning to elope in Banff!

This epic Rocky Mountain location promises endless stunning backdrops, and a truly unforgettable experience.

As an experienced elopement photographer, I’m here to help guide you through planning your Banff Elopement so you can kick back and just focus on enjoying your special day.

So you’ve chosen Banff as your location… now what??

First off, you will need to research the spot you would like for your Elopement!

Jasika + Amrinder decided on Moraine Lake for this Elopement and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

The stunning teal coloured water and mountainous background was like something out of a fairytale.

TIP: That beautiful water colour will be the most vibrant hue of turquoise from late July – August when glacial melting occurs.

Visitors are welcome from June to mid-October. The best time of year to elope really just depends on your preference and the vibe you are going for!

Personal vehicles are no longer permitted access to the Moraine Lake parking lot so you will need  arrange another form of transportation.

For this Elopement, we took the first shuttle available in the morning and hiked the rest of the way (very short hike from the drop off point)

Another option would be staying at Moraine Lake Lodge (kinda pricey but definitely worth it)

Now this is where I come in (hopefully) haha! Time to choose your Photographer! Not to brag, but we’re kinda  important 😉 Your photos will capture all the love and emotion of your special day and you want to be sure you’ve invested in the right person to do this!

In addition to taking great photos, an experienced elopement photographer will also act as your guide for the day ensuring your day goes perfectly!

Lastly, let’s not forget the nitty-gritty legal bits that make it all official. That’s right, I’m talkin’ about the marriage license and any required permits. This part isn’t the most exciting part but it needs to be done nonetheless…and FYI, I can help with this if you choose me ❤︎
